INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
The ethics review committee of the SLCP will:
- consider application submitted by SLCP members only.
- consider human subjects research proposals only.
- consider research projects pertaining to child health/perinatology only.
- deal with both clinical and biomedical research projects.
- screen projects and either grant ethical clearance or recommend referral to an ethics committee with wider/relevant representation.
- assess submitted research projects in accordance with basic ethics guidelines stipulated in the International Guidelines for Biomedical Research involving Human Subjects (WHO 1993) and its revised editions.
Meeting of the ERC are usally held monthly.
Lead time required for processing an application is approximately one month.
There are no specfic application forms.
